Popular Front's Ivashkevich gets 15 days of arrest


Viktar Ivashkevich, a deputy chairman of the Party of the Belarusian Popular Front, today was sentenced to 15 days of arrest after Minsk's Central District Court found him guilty of petty hooliganizm, reports Belapan.
The court ruled that the opposition politician "cursed and violated the public order". Ivashkevich was detained on December 10 on Chyrvonaya Street when he was on his way from the unauthorized rally of entrepreneurs.
