Fans had waited for the new album of the band Pomidor/OFF “ Pathos/Pops/Propaganda” for eight years. Some of them have even forgotten about this band. That is why the new album had to make the band popular again. I think there is a reason for it. The disc that took so long to be released had to be excellent. It was expected that every song of “the Three Ps” will stay on listeners’ personal hit lists for a long time. However, it has not happened. The album is very organic although some of the themes are much more impressive than the others.

If you compare the style of “Pathos/Pops/Propaganda” with the previous album “Stolen Holiday” you will see that they are different. The new disc combines more styles, it is light and full of arrangements. The percussion themes are very complicated. You can clearly hear that Syarhei Kananovich plays the bass. Leader of the band Alyaksandr Pamidorau says that he was angry with his colleagues at a rehearsal and presented a classic pop theme for one of the songs. And the guys said: “Cool! We will do it in a minute!” (“One”)

However, some of the songs remind you of the previous album. No wonder. They were played by the same people and were written right after the release of “Stolen holiday” – “Greedy”, “So what?” and “Lie”. By the way, the latter is presented in two variants – censored and non-censored.

There are 13 songs and two bonus songs on the disc. However, I would say that the remake of “Shabany” is also a bonus as it was released with the “Stolen Holiday”. By the way, the censored version of “Lie” is a bonus which means that it is not part of the album. The second bonus track is “Icon” – the music is by HastaLaFillsta and the lyrics are by Alyaksandr Pamidorau.

The album “Pathos/Pops/Propaganda” corresponds to its title as it contains all the three components. However, different people find them in different songs.

It’s a pity that Pomidor/OFF has refused from rap and hip-hop. Some traces can be found only in “Italiano”.

Judging by listeners’ comments, the songs “Radio” and “20.12.11” are mentioned most often. Interestingly, people have already nicknamed it “Sniper” or “Sniper on the roof”. However, it is not clear why children are singing at the beginning of this response to December 2011 events. But it was up to the musicians to decide. I think that “Radio” is the strongest theme of the whole album. “Smoke” presented at various portals long ago is close to it.

Thus, the disc “Pathos/Pops/Propaganda” is unlikely to pass unnoticed by critics and amateurs of good guitar music. So, it is better to be among the first people who will listen to it.
