Police commandos detain Nika Taxi 22222 director

Liudmila Parenskaya, the director of the Vaukavysk-based Nika Taxi 22222 company, was today detained by the police commandos who arrested the local entrepreneurs on February 8, 2009. She is reportedly being fetched to the capital. Lawyer Aleh Vouchak maintains that the criminal case against the entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk could find a new direction -- illegal entrepreneurship.

Aleh Vouchak: “Liudmila Parenskaya was detained today about two hours ago by investigators from Minsk and police commandos. She is the director of the Nika Taxi 22222 company where Autukhovich used to work. She is the founder  and the director of this company, and she allowed Autukhovich to work as a driver”.

Liudmila Parenskaya was repeatedly summoned as a witness in the case of the entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk. She was forced to testify that the company belonged to Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka (currently in pretrial detention).

But, Liudmila Parenskaya has not yet testified against the jailed entrepreneurs.
