Plyakhanau Street blast - a suicide?

The investigators decided to close the preliminary investigation of the case due to the absence of corpus delicti, reports interfax.by.



The investigation worked on four versions of the blast: an accident as a result of careless use of gas equipment, breaking of the gas equipment, illegal actions of third parties and a suicide. According to the investigators, the first three versions weren't confirmed.



According tot he experts, the blast occurred due to a large quantity of gas in residential premises. In order to get such concentration of gas, it is necessary to open up several stoves, turn on the gas and leave for no less than two hours.



The investigators say that the postmortem complex psychological and psychiatric expertise of the deceased man established that he had a mental disorder with a great capability to commit suicide.



The blast occurred on February 23, a 46-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman died. The inhabitants of the blasted apartments couldn't return to their homes for several months.
