Is placing flowers to graves an economic crime?

According to Uladzіmіr Malyarchuk, the head of the civil movement of remembrance of victims of Stalinism Yury Kuznyatsou, Uladzimir Kolas and Syarhey Zakonnikay visited Vileika on that day. The moved to Kasuta together with local democratic activists to place flowers to the cross installed there, light candles and pray.

 

The participants were accompanied by the police, members of the local and regional KGB affiliates and even by employees of the Department on prevention of economic crimes. All the time the procession was being filmed.

 

Uladzіmіr Malyarchuk is trying to find out why the column was followed by the Department on prevention of economic crimes (appeal to the head of the police) and why the action was being filmed (appeal to the regional public prosecutor).
