Petard causes fire in Pinsk kindergarten on New Year’s night
A fire started in a Pinsk kindergarten on New Year’s night. The reason for it was a petard that got in a window, reports BelaPAN. Rescuers were informed about the fire in the two-storey building of the infant school on January 1 at 12.40 a.m. Having arrived 10 minutes after the fire had begun, they liquidated it 9 minutes later. Several beds and bookcases and some other furniture were damaged by the fire.
According to rescuers, it was the only fire caused by misuse of pyrotechnics in the whole province on January 1-3. On the whole, 11 fires were registered in the province during that period. There were no victims.
