Parliament passes 2016 budget in second reading
On December 18, the House of Representatives passed in the second reading Belarus' budget draft for 2016. 105 members of the lower house of parliament voted in favor.
Euroradio's correspondent Zmicier Lukashuk reports from the House of Representatives, it toook the members of parliament just eight minutes to pass the budget in the second reading. The first reading on December 17 took 50 minutes. This difference in time is even more surprising beucase in the second reading voting takes place for every budget subtotals.
2016 budget passed within 50 minutes after only four questions from MPs
Under the document, income is planned at 180 trilllion 590.2 billion rubels. Expenditures are planned at the level of 163 trillion 417.9 billion rubels.
