Opposition leaders walk Freedom Day route

The leaders of the United Pro-Democracy Forces today walked the route they had applied for in order to mark 90 years since the first independence declration of Belarus on March 25, Freedom Day. On March 25, the peaceful demonstration was brutally broken up by the riot police.

At 1100 they gathered on Yakub Kolas square and laid flowers to the poet's monument and then proceeded to the monuments to Yanka Kupala and Maxim Bahdanovich, reports Nasha Niva.
