“NPP is being built in Vitsebsk, Mahileu, Homel and not far from Minsk”

ERB has tried to find out whether Minskers know where the NPP is being built. How do you think, how many people have replied “in Astravets”? Girl: “Well, I heard it was supposed to be built but I don’t know where”.

Two guys: “In Vitsebsk! Or maybe in Mahileu? To cut it short, somewhere in Belarus! We don’t know. Where is it being built?”

Girl: “I do not remember the name of that place but I visited it on vacations and saw Ignalina nuclear power plant in Lithuania. As far as I know, ours will be built opposite to it”.

Guy: “Somewhere between Hrodna and Vitsebsk Regions. But I do not remember exactly I just looked through the news. It must be somewhere not far from Minsk”.

Girl: “Well, it will not be built in Minsk for sure. I heard it would be built somewhere near here but where… I can’t… I can’t… I can’t think of it!”

Guy: “Near the Neman… No, near Narach. I know the place but I do not remember its name”.
Three schoolgirls: “It will be either in Homel or in Vitsebsk… No! Mahileu! … Wrong? … Well there are also Brest, Hrodna and Minsk… But it seems to be Homel. Katsya, do you remember where the station is being built? Which one? The NPP! No idea. Well it must be out of Minsk… let me tell you… somewhere in the east!”

Gentleman: “I know it will be in Ashmyany, Ashmyany District… But I cannot specify it as that’s all I have heard”.

Guy and girl:
“If I only knew it. Vitsebsk Province! Yes, Vitsebsk.  To tell you the truth, we have not tried to find it out, we do not watch news programmes as we are not interested in it”.

Gentleman: “Well, I was interested in it but what can we do?”

Guy: “No, I’m not interested in it because nothing depends on us. Nobody even discussed anything about the chemical plant with us. They just built it”.
