No more “Down with the government!” in “The Usurper”

The choir did not sing “Down with the government!” in a musical “Russian Phantom” on its first night in Minsk Musical Comedy Theatre. A neutral “Down with everything!” was sung.
This is what an employee of the theatre said about this example of censorship:

"Our director who is also the producer of the performance, talked to the singers during a rehearsal and they rehearsed the scene “The Usurper” in another way. They sang other words yesterday. So the phrase “Down with the government!” was replaced by “Down with everyone!”.

Let us note that the two-act musical is by Alexei Tolstoi’s novel “The Hyperboloid of Engineer Garin”. It was put on the stage by a composer Ihar Levin and a dramatist Vasil Puchahlazau.
