No military service adjournment for Kaldun

Dzmitry Kaldun, a representative of our country at “Eurovision” has received call-up papers. In his interview with our radio the singer said he had solved the problem by a phone call. But employees of the military registration and enlistment office refuted the fact and said he never phoned them and has to come to the office.
Dzmіtry Kaldun studied at the Chemistry Faculty of BSU. After winning at the “Stars’ Factory” he applied for distance learning and became liable for call-up.

He had to go through a medical examination. The singer said he had tried to solve the problem over the phone:

Dzmіtry Kaldun: “I phoned them and explained everything. They understood it. Thanks God I did not have to introduce myself. So, I hope they won’t disturb me in the near future. They said they understood everything and that it was a common problem.

Furthermore, I am still a student. I explained them that I would be a BSU student till December 1”.

Dzmіtry Kaldun is not worried:

“The thing is I’m non-effective. My grandmother does not let me go to the army, so I’m non-effective”.

We phoned the Frunzenski District of Minsk military registration and enlistment office. Major Shrugіn said they were still waiting for Kaldun:

"We have sent him call-up papers. His adjournment ends this year. He did not react in any way. He must come to the military registration and enlistment office. He is not using the right for adjournment”.

Employees of the military registration and enlistment office said that probably only Lukashenka could free Kaldun from military service.
