No conductors in Minsk city transport from September

According to Iryna Yakubouskaya, deputy general director of Minsktrans, quoted by Minsk-Naviny, in the near future the number of supervisors will increase to reach 400. Currently there are more than 220 people occupying this position and about 140 applications are under consideration.

Some conductors will work as cashiers of whom there is a need now more than ever before. The things is that part of the ticket stalls will be working longer hours now. In addition, there appear new points selling tickets and passes. Recently there were three more special kiosks added to the 139 existing ones, and soon 10 more will be open.

Meanwhile, passengers will only be able to buy tickets from the driver or at a kiosk.
