Navumau plans to travel to Switzerland

Former Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau, chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, plans to travel to Switzerland in May to attend a congress at which Belarus may be declared the host of the 2014 World Championships, a federation official told Euroradio.
The congress is scheduled to take place from May 7 to 10.

The European Union imposed an entry ban on Navumau, who is suspected on involvement in high-profile disappearances of Alyaksandr Lukashenka's opponents. The United States and Switzerland aligned themselves with the ban.
