National Bolsheviks hold authorised rally in Minsk

Some 40 people took part in a rally near Bangalore Square in Minsk to suppory the freedom of assemblies on the territory of Russia. The action was organized by activists from the unregistered National Bolshevik Party. The rally was okayed by the city authorities.  Similar actions took place Sundays in a number of cities in Russia and Ukraine. The National Bolsheviks demanded that the Russian authorities act in line of the Constitution which allows citizens to gather in order to express their views.

The Belapan news agency reports that Leanid Shkolnikau, chairman of the Belarusian public association "For Union and Communist Party of the Soviet Union", addressed the rally with the words of criticism against the Belarusian authorities. He noted that there were similar problems with the freedom of assembly in Belarus as well.
