National Bank: Banknotes printed in 2009 are not affected by fungus

There have been no problems with the preservation of the New Belarusian money, deputy head of the National Bank Dzmitry Lapko announced at a press conference in Minsk on Thursday. The money will be introduced on July1, 2016.

The banknotes have been kept in the treasury since 2009. A European mint made them.

“There may be fungus in the main treasury of the National Bank. But the new banknotes have not been affected by it,” Dzmitry Lapko said.
