Name of Belarusian who died in Iraq is announced

The website “Vitsebsk people’s news” reports that a flight engineer from Vitsebsk Alyaksandr Hamkou was the Belarusian who died in a plane crash in Iraq.
Let us remind you that an air-freighter AN-12 crashed soon after it had taken off from an air base El-Asad not far from El-Faludza. All 7 passengers died.

The plane belonged to British Gulf International Company and was transporting goods of a postal service Federal Express. According to witnesses, the plane caught fire in the air and fell on the ground in the desert.

There were six crew members and one passenger on board. Besides the Belarusian, three Russian citizens, two Ukrainians and one Indian died in the plane crash.
