Motorists stranded at Belarus-Ukraine border
250 vehicles are spotted in a queue to cross the Belarus-Ukraine border post at Novaja Huta.
The press office of Border Control Department in Homel told BELTA the transport flow was caused by the mass exodus of holiday-makers. The majority of vehicles in the queue have Ruassian number plates, as Russian holiday-makers normally travel to Black Sea resorts in the souther Ukraine via Belarus.
Border guards recommend motorists to take use of less busy border crossing posts in Vesialouka and Kamaryn. Residents from central and nothern Belarus may also cross the border at Novaja Rudnia, Aliaksandrauka and Hluskovicy.
Residents of Homel and Homel district have access to the posts with simplified border checks at Poddabranka, Hlybockaje and Andrejeuka.
