A Moscow school has refused to accept the child of a Belarusian citizen living in Moscow, head of the consular department of the Belarusian Embassy to Moscow Uladzimir Shorahau told SB. Belarus Today.

The school administration has refused to accept the child due to having no residence permit in Russia. Meanwhile, the child has temporary registration issued by the Russian authorities according to the Russian legislation. This is enough to be allowed to go to school in Russia but the school administration did not accept the document, Shorahau said.

"The consular department of the Embassy is contacting the Russian MFA and the Ministry of Education in connection with this issue now,” the diplomat added.
