Monument to unborn children installed in Hlybokaye District (photo)
Catholic bishop Aleh Butkevich from Vitsebsk has sanctified it.
A monument to unborn children has appeared in Hlybokaye District. The sculpture has been installed near the Catholic church in the village of Udzela. The sculpture shows the Mother of God is embracing unborn children and there is also a crucifix on a rock. A stone with a memory tablet is placed nearby.
Vitsebsk bishop Aleh Butkevich sanctified the monument on December 7. The hierarch recalled the words pronounced by Pope John Paul II – the people that kills its own children has no future, he said.
