In pictures: Dzyady memorial rally in Minsk
The action in memory of the diseased compatriots was organized by the Belarusian Popular Front's Christian Conservative Party on Sunday.
The rally was authorized by the Minsk authorities. People walked from the Minsk Watch Plant towards Kurapaty memorial site along the pavements. Public speeched were promounced as new crosses to commemorate the victims of mass executions by Stalin's secret police were being installed.
About 300 or 400 people took part in the Dzyady rally. One person was detained.
