Ministry of Justice is still unwilling to legalize Union of left-wing parties

The Belarusian Ministry of Justice has not allowed the registration of the Union of left-wing parties for the second time. The officials referred to “documents drawn up in a wrong way”.

Let us remind you that the first meeting of the Union took place in December 2006 in Ukraine because there was no building for it in Belarus. However, the Ministry of Justice refused to register the Union for this reason this year.

The second meeting took place in Minsk in July. The Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada), Belarusian Communist Party, Belarusian Women’s Party “Nadzeya” and members of the liquidated Belarusian Labour Party took part in it.

The initiators of the registration of the Union of left-wing parties have decided to appeal the decision of the Ministry of Justice in Supreme Court.
