Mikhakevich quits Movement for Freedom
The Movement for Freedom has become the second organization in the democrati camp that excluded politician Ales Mikhalevich from its ranks in the past two years. In 2008, he was excluded from the Party of the Belarusian Popular Front; on April 30 -- from the Movement for Freedom. In the case of the Popular Front, he was excluded by the decision of the party. In the cadse of the Movement for Freedom, Mikhalevich quitted volunarily. He said: "I am going to run for the presidency and I personally have no time for those things that I dealt with earlier. My resignation shows that I have no time to work in the movement, but I cannot be with the organizations where I can devote my time.
According to the politician, the leadership of the movement understood his position. At the same time, he noted that nobody asked him to stay. He was not asked to join Milinkevich's presidential campaign either.
