Microsoft stops selling Windows 7 and 8

Microsoft has officially stopped selling some versions of Windows 7 and 8. The company would like to increase the number of users of the latest versions of its operating system.

Windows 7, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate stopped being available on October 31. Windows 8 released two years ago has joined them now. The operation systems will not be sold on discs and will not be installed in shops. PCs will be sold with Windows 8.1. The new version, Windows 10, will appear in 2015.

However, it will take producers of computers some time before they get rid of old Windows versions, BBC reports. They will keep installing old versions of Windows until then.
