MFA: Belarusians attacked in Yemen had official contracts

Both Belarusians had official contracts in Yemen, MFA press secretary Andrei Savinyh told Euroradio.

Savinyh: “We can confirm that two Belarusian citizens were shot at in Yemen. They had official contracts in the country. The consulate is trying to contact the Yemeni authorities to find out all the details and render assistance.”

Two Belarusians were attacked by unknown killers in Sana'a, the Capital of Yemen, on Tuesday.  One of the men was killed and the other one was badly wounded.

According to other sources, they were military advisers and worked in one of the presidential security units of the Yemen Army.  However, the Minify of Foreign affairs has refuted the information.
