"MAZ Video Chronicles" author faces criminal charges
Ruslan Mirzoyeu is charged with breaking the rules of forced labor regime.
This has been informed by Radio Liberty with a reference to Mirzoyeu's wife Mariam. Mirzoyeu informed earlier that 5 violations of the regime, committed by him, have been already recorded by police. However, he found this out recently and unexpectedly. According to Ruslan Mirzoyeu, now he faces up to 3 years of real imprisonment.
He added that he no longer shot critical videos, but did not give up the creative activity, switching to "humorous short videos".
In summer, Mirzoyeu was fired from MAZ factory when he made videos about it and published them online. Later, he filmed acted videos about the drug addicts and young criminals in Kurasoushchyna micro-district. Mirzoyeu got 7 days of detention for the said videos. More than a year ago, Ruslan Mirzoyeu was sentenced to home forcible labor regime for stealing.
