Maria Alyokhina is released
The Pussy Riot member has been amnestied this morning.
Maria Alyokhina met human rights defenders after the release, ria.ru reports referring to her lawyer Pyotr Zaikin.
Alyokhina served her sentence in colony #2 in Nizhny Novgorod. She headed for the local office of the civil organization Committee against Torture right after her release on Monday morning. It was a meeting behind closed doors. The lawyer did not specify what issues had been discussed there.
