Man kills owner of dog that bit his children

An inhabitant of Vitsebsk Region has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment for having killed the owner of the dog that bit his children. He committed the murder in 1993 and was hiding in Russia for a long time. 

According to the “Respublica” newspaper, the man found out that his children were bitten by a dog belonging to other people and rushed into its owner’s flat. He started stifling the woman, beating her and wounded her with a knife several times. She died of the injuries. The neighbours who tried to stop him and the woman’s husband were also wounded.

The inhabitant of Vitsebsk Region “hid” in a colony in Russia. He was detained in Saint-Petersburg only in March 2007.
