Mahilyou officials admit that Crimea is part of Ukraine

У Магілёве прызналі, што Крым — гэта Украіна

Mahilyou City Executive Committee has recommended that shops avoid selling map and globes where Crimea is part of Russia. Deputy head of the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) Ihar Barysau has received this reply from Mahilyou City Executive Committee.

Mahilyou officials asked the Belarusian Ministry for Foreign Affairs to clarify this issue. The UN General Assembly adopted a recommendation resolutions stating that Crimea is part of Ukraine on March 27, 2014, the Ministry replied. It means that the UN supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and doesn’t recognize the results of the Crimean referendum of March 16, 2014.

Having noticed maps and globes where Crimea is part of Russia in Mahilyou, Ihar Barysau complained to the ideology and trade departments of Mahilyou City Executive Committee and demanded to stop selling them.
