Stanislau Paulinkovich reposted Mikalai Statkevich’s appeal to join the meeting For Free Elections on September 12 at 6 p.m. in Minsk Kastrychnitskaya Square.

 

The young man urged people to join an unauthorized street action and thus violated the Law On Mass Actions and article 23.34 of the Administrative Code, the police think.

The police detained Paulinkovich in advance on September 12. He was delivered to Lenin District Department of the Interior and spent 6 hours at the police station while an administrative violation report was being written.

Judge Valyantsina Lapatsina sent the case back for rework on September 20. If Paulinkovich is returned guilty, he will be fined for 630 roubles (30 base amounts) or arrested.

The unauthorized meeting For Free Elections was held in Minsk October Square on the evening of September 12. Its participants demanded a fair and open election. Mikola Statkevich and Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu initiated the action. About 100 people joined the protest.
