Lukashenka talks to Poroshenko again

“The Presidents discussed their joint efforts aimed at establishing an international dialogue and solving humanitarian issues... They discussed a wide range of bilateral relations including the removal of artificial barriers in Belarus-Ukraine trade,” the Ukrainian President’s press service reported.

Imported Ukrainian goods will not have to be licensed in Belarus, mass media reported on July 19. In its turn, Ukraine will not tariff Belarusian goods. Ukraine imposed duties on Belarusian goods in response to the previous decisions of the Belarusian government.

Official contacts between Minsk and Kiev have become frequent recently. Petro Poroshenko phoned the Belarusian President last week. The two Presidents discussed the possibility of organizing a meeting of so-called contact groups in Belarus. They had to discuss the crisis in East Ukraine.
