Lukashenka: Russia is a bit less vernacular than Belarusian for us

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has called the Russian language less vernacular than Belarusian. He made the statement at the republican pedagogical conference on August 24, nn.by reports. At the same time, he curtseyed to the Russian language.  

 

"The Russian language is our mother tongue. It may be a bit less vernacular than Belarusian. But I value them equally and I think that we should not refuse from this legacy,” the Belarusian President announced.
