Belarus raises excise duty on fuel

President Lukashenka's Decree No 102 on 15 March 2019 revised upwards the excise duty rates on automobile fuel. The edict was published Tuesday on the National Legal Information Portal website and came into effect at the moment of publication.

The excise duty rate on the automobile fuel, not equivalent to Class 5, will make up BYN475.08 per one tonne, that on the automobile fuel equivalent to Class 5 – BYN292.59, and that on diesel fuel – BYN227.05 and BYN178.33 per one tonne respectively. The excise duty rate on natural compressed gas used as automobile fuel will be BYN108.42 per 1,000 cubic meters.

The new excise duty rates will be valid through 31 December 2019.
