Lukashenka promises to liberalise Belarusian society

Liberalization of the whole economy and the activity of the society will be performed in Belarus. Alyaksandr Lukashenka has claimed in an interview with the heads of the leading Belarusian mass media today. The leader of the state has criticized economy bureaucracy. Lukashenka stressed that it was necessary to allow free development of the economy. At the same time he noted that it was important to support the initiative of people and to allow them register their enterprises and work freely.

Lukashenka claimed that a number of Belarusian enterprises would be privatized for big sums of money – according to the cost of every enterprise in the market. Backbone enterprises can be sold only in exceptional cases. There are no cases of the kind in Belarus now regardless of the world financial crisis.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed that he had signed important documents needed to liberalise the economy. They will be published soon.
