Lukashenka not happy with candidates for Belarus ambassador post in Moscow

President Aliaksandr Lukashenka has not approved a new Belarus ambassador to Russia, reports the press office of the head of state.

On 4 September, Lukashenka received Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei whoi reported about progress in foreign trade and discussed the schedule of upcoming international meets.

Among other things on agenda, Makei also reported to the president on the candidates for the post of Belarus' ambassador in Moscow. However, Lukashenka was not happy with any of the proposed personalities.

"Our proposals on some candidatures for the post of Belarus ambassador to Russia were proposed to the President. The President assessed some of the candidates in a positive way. However, he also ordered to think more on other options," Foreign Minister said.

The former Belarus ambassador to Russia Ihar Petrushenka was recently appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.
