Lukashenka: Money will be spent on production instead of social objects
The construction of sports and cultural objects will be suspended in Belarus.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka made the statement at a meeting with representatives of regional mass media and Belaruskali.
The state has built too many social objects, the President said. “We have learnt to make them cheap. But we have so many of them now that we cannot make use of them all and they do not give us the output we expected,” BELTA quotes him.
"Let us stop building social objects and pay more attention to production, to the field that returns interest. We need to invest in production and to projects that repay,” the President said.
