Lukashenka to Miller: We cannot reproach Gazprom

"You know, I was surprised to find out that there was nothing we could reproach Gazprom this year. We have paid for everything we bought. You have paid for everything you transported across Belarus. You have done everything you promised, beginning from the programs to support children," BELTA quoted the Belarus leader as saying.

Alexei Miller said in return that gas supplies to Belarus would increase this year. The amount of transit will also increase.

The parties also discussed the prospects of gas transit development in Belarus, including the transit at the cost of construction of the gas pipeline Yamal-Europe-2. Alexei Miller was interested in the realization of this project.

Social programs that Gazprom participates in were also discussed. Their financing has increased by 5 times. Most of the projects are focused on children in such fields as sports and medicine.  The Russian company is also sponsoring the memorial complex Brest Hero Fortress and the Orthodox Church.
