Lukashenka meets Medvedev in Moscow

According to the Belarusian President, there are some contradictions in the process of preparation for the creation of the union. However, all of them can be solved, Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted. The agreement should be signed by May 29 in Astana.

The discussion of economic issues is essential in connection with economic problems in Europe and in the world, Russian PM Dmitri Medvedev noted. “There are problems in our countries too,” Medvedev said.

Minsk’s readiness to sign the agreement on the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union depends on bilateral oil procession agreements with Russia, the Belarusian government claimed earlier. Moreover, neither Russia nor Kazakhstan want to agree to equal relations in the field of transportation in the future Eurasian Economic Union, Lukashenka claimed.
