Losses caused by entrepreneurs’ strike will be imperceptible — Andrei Tur

Losses of the Belarusian budget caused by the strike of private entrepreneurs (PEs) will be imperceptible. This is the opinion of the deputy Minister of Economy Andrei Tur pronounced at a press conference on January 3.
As it was informed, PEs went on strike on January 1. The protest action is aimed against the president’s decree forbidding to hire employees except for close relatives.

The strike is organized in the form of “a forced vacation without paying taxes”. The action is planned to last till January 15. The deputy Minister stressed that private entrepreneurs would encounter problems if they did not pay taxes.

According to him, if PEs go on vacation without paying taxes, they may be fined or deprived of their licenses.
