Lithuania promises cheap visas to Belarusians for Be2gether rock festival

Belarusians, who wish to attend the Be2together festival on August 14-17 in Narvilishki near the Lithuania-Belarus border, will be issued cheap entry visas, Lithuanian Ambassador in Minsk Edminas Bogdanas said in a statement. The ambassador will attend the event as a guest of honor.  "Like last year, we will find a way of getting as much Belarusians as possible to come to this festival. We will find an option in order to not scare you away by the costs of Schengen visas and processing time. We have not received a final approval from Vilnius yet. But we will definitely have it done", Ambassador Bogdanas said.

Be2together was launched in 2007. Its organizer Gedrus Klimkiavichjus recalls::

"Many people came from Belarus to spend several days in this beautiful corner, probably the best place in the center of Europe, where roads from the East and the West cross".

During three days of the festival, nealy 70 bands, including OSIMIRA and Mauzer from Belarus, will perform. Nasha Niva reports that the Lithuanian organizers have failed to sign Belarusian legendary band N.R.M due to financial disagreemets. Tickets for Be2gether will cost Euro 65 this year.
