Linguist and journalist Yuras Bushlakou dies of cancer

Yuras Bushlakou was a linguist and Master of Arts. He gave lectures in BSU and Yakub Kolas Lyceum.

He published Belarusian Classical Spelling with Vyachorka, Sanko and Sauka. He worked for radio 101.2 and Radio Racyja.  He joined Radio Liberty staff at the beginning of the 2000s.

His colleagues have published the book Living Language that includes Yuras programmers dedicated to the Belarusian language. Unfortunately, he did not live to see the book –cancer was diagnosed in him.

Yuras Bushlakou’s son Yan-Mihal is 2 years old. Yuras turned 40 a few days ago.
