Libya: hundreds of Belarusian military men on Gaddafi's side

Hundreds of Belarusian military specialists are helping Gaddafi's army to counterstand the insurgents and NATO's bombings. The newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda" informs this with a reference to different sources in our country's Ministry of Defense, as well as to a conversation with a Belarusian officer. According to the latter, Belarusians do not take part in battle operations directly, but they are on battle positions all the time. Mikhail (this is how he introduced himself) has spent more than a year in Lybia, he has an individual contract with Lybian authorities, which is "not connected with my country's Ministry of Defense in any way", and gets 3 thousand dollars a week. Belarusian military men not only perform the function of Lybian commanders' advisors, but also organize reconnaissance  and military technical equipment exploitation.

The Russian newspaper writes that there is a secret employment bureau for discharged military men, who are ready to go on "business trips" to Libya, Venezuela, and other countries of the world, in Minsk. Air defense specialists, air mechanics, commanders of common military units (batallion commanders and higher) are the most required.
