Kommersant: Freezing cold at Independence Palace in Minsk

Коммерсант: У Палацы Незалежнасці ў Мінску было вельмі холадна

It was very cold at the Independence Palace in Minsk during the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, Kommersant reports. The summit was held on Thursday. Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin, the two state’s Prime Ministers and other officials participated in it.

It was cold both at the press centre and in the meeting hall. Russian Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko even asked to bring her a fur coat. “I’m cold, I am just cold,” she explained later.

Probably, nobody had visited the Independence Palace for a long time and it simply … cooled down, Kommersant joked.
