KGB catches bribers at Minsk regional customs
A member of the contraband and administrative violations prevention department was detained at the moment of accepting a bribe.
The Minsk customs officer received 7000 euro from a Russian citizen. He was trying to hasten the customs check-up of the cars belonging to Belarusian commercial structures he was going to import to the Customs Union.
The customs officer has been detained. A criminal case has been started.
The Committee has also detained two Belarusians who were trying to persuade the Russian into giving a bribe of 10000 euro. They promised to facilitate the customs procedures for foreign cars imported to Belarus.
