July 4 – 232nd anniversary of USA

July 4 is the birthday of an independent country – the USA. The Independence Declaration was signed on July 4, 1776. Inhabitants of 13 British colonies situated along the eastern coast were fighting with the English king and the Parliament for their economic independence at that moment. The name “United States of America” was used for the first time in the Declaration. The main festive events will take place in Washington today. There will be a great parade, concerts and theatrical performances organized in the city. The National Symphonic Orchestra will perform for the audience. The events will be followed by 20-minutes’ fireworks. The US President George Bush has congratulated his compatriots on the holiday and thanked American military men for “protecting the freedom and values that made America the greatest country”.
