Journalist gets second warning for working with BELSAT

Homel-based journalist Aleh Razhkou has received the second warning from the regional prosecutor's office "for operating in the interests of BELSAT television channel".

The similar wording was used in the first written warning that the journalist had received in February 2009. The prosecutor's office notified Razhkou that he was not allowed to work for a foreign media organization without accreditation at the foreign ministry. He was also told that the chief doctor of the regional mental clinic filed a complaint against the journalist.

The doctor wrote in his statement that Razhkou and his colleague Tatsiana Bublikava came to the hospital and, introducing themselves as BELSAT journalists, interviewed one of the doctors over his dismissal from the job.

In case of the third warning, the journalist can face administrative punishment, reports Belapan news agency.
