Jailed blogger Maxim Filipovich to stand trial again

The Homel inhabitant has been jailed since March 13. He has been scented to 13, 5 and 7 days of imprisonment for taking part in non-freeloaders’ protest actions in different Belarusian cities. The last two trials were held when the blogger was in jail.

Filipovich will stand tail for taking part in the ‘non-freeloaders march’ held in Pinsk on March 11. The hearing may be held on any day during Filipenka’s imprisonment, rights defender Leanid Sudalenka reports. If the blogger is not jailed again, he will be released on April 7 at about 8.50 p.m.

 

According to the law, the maximum term of an administrative arrest is 25 days, Sudalenka noted. This term will expire for Filipovich on April 7. However, some people have already happened to be released for a few minutes only to be arrested on new charges again.
