Investigation Committee presents preliminary version of Babruisk blast

A representative of the Belarusian investigation committee has reported a preliminary version of the explosion in Babruisk to RIA Novosti. The man committed suicide. Nobody else was injured.

The Investigation Committee has started a criminal case in connection with the explosion in Babruisk.

A 59-year-old man blew himself up near a shop in Batau Street at about 9 p.m. on February 1, Euroradio reported. A well-dressed man bought two bottles of vodka, a bottle of wine and tangerines, the sales assistant said. He asked her to open one of the bottles and suggested drinking together. The woman says that the man said something like ‘I do not care anymore…’

Specialists of the State Court expertise are working on the spot, representative of Mahilyou Province Investigation Committee Aksana Salyanyuk said. Minsk investigators have also arrived. The area is being searched and the name of the man is being revealed now.
