IMF mission to arrive in Minsk

An IMF mission headed by David Goffman will work in Minsk on March 5-16.

The mission will write an annual survey on the development of the Belarusian economy, Radio Liberty reports. A press conference will be given on March 16.

Belarus needs to realize a number of macroeconomic steps and deep structural reforms to launch a new IMF programme, David Goffman said during the previous IMF mission in 2014. Belarus does not need urgent financing and the country will finish 2014 with economic growth, PM Mihail Myasnikovich claimed back then.
