Human traffic attempt prevented in Homel

Drug control and human traffic prevention department prevented a human traffic attempt in Homel on April 9. A special reporter of the Information and public relations group Ihar Bishkevich comes up with some details.

A Homel dweller (b. 1977) was detained while getting on the bus “Himel-Kiev-Nikolaev at 3 p.m. She was going to take a plane to Ankara (Turkey) later.

She was trying to transport a woman born in 1985 to Turkey for further sexual exploitation”.

Policemen suspected that the woman was connected with human traffic when they found out that a woman married to a Turk was going to meet the women in Kiev. Ihar Bishkevich continues:

“The woman promised her victim a wage of 2000 USD per month. She was given 500-600 USD for every woman she delivered to Turkey”.
