Human rights defenders: Another death sentence in Belarus

According to spring96.org, the decision was taken by Minsk regional court on November 26, 2013. Lykov was under investigation since 2011. Three lawyers changed during this time.

The convict didn't have a permanent place of residence, kept contacts with his mother who lives in Baranavichy. His son lives in Russia, daughter - in Germany, but he has no contacts with his children.

Coordinator of the campaign "Human rights defenders against death penalty in Belarus" Andrei Paluda notes that this case demonstrates once again that the state hides the facts of making death sentences and their execution from citizens.
